At impartweb.co.uk, we have helped people ranging from students away at Uni to octogenarians. Help over the internet is only a phone call away for you, your friends or your relatives. Rates are very reasonable rates – free initial session!
With your permission we can provide remote assistance with
- computer management tasks, and problem solving
- coach you on the use of the internet, email, and common software packages like Microsoft Office, or even help with digital cameras
This takes place in the comfort of your own home and at your own pace via the internet whilst we are in on-line and in
contact with you from elsewhere.
Computer management includes
- undertaking maintenance tasks for you,
- sorting PC settings to improve security, performance etc,
- performing Windows and other updates to keep you up to date with security updates
- virus scanner updates/scans.
Software/application help includes
- help with setting up software,
- showing you how to browse the internet,
- using search engines, Google etc
- helping you to sign up for accounts and services such as ebay, genealogy sites, etc,
- Getting you started and coaching you in the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, amongst others
- File and folder management, and use of digital cameras etc.
Requirements
- a Windows XP or Vista PC,
- a broadband internet connection
- a separate means of voice communication (ideally a landline, or even internet phone!)
To get started have an email sent to me at info@impartweb.co.uk with the contact details and rough location/postcode for you, your friend or your relative.
Then we set up an initial, free session (ideally in person) to check each other out, discuss what is possible and what isn’t, explain how it works and make sure the connection will work!
This should give you confidence to go ahead, with you having the security and peace of mind to be able to easily “pull the plug” on the remote connection at any time.
